SAD: How Rock Crushed Mum & 3 Children to Death in Ogun

Tragedy struck at the Iberekodo, Abeokuta North area of Ogun State last week Friday night when a rock crashed into a bedroom, killing a mum, Silifat Lawal, two of her children, Raaheedat,15, and Semia, 4, and grandchild, Mariam.

According to the Nation, Silifat’s husband, Ismail Lawal, and two other children, Sukurat and Rofiat, who were in the sitting room when tragedy struck, survived the fatal incident with severe injuries.

Residents said the unfortunate incident was caused by the heavy downpour on Friday, adding that the rain appeared to have softened the base of the rock which gave way and made the rock lose its balance.
