Woman Accussed Of Locking Up Husband And Forcing Him To Have Sex
A 40-year-old South Korean woman has been charged with the rape of her husband after she locked him inside their home for 29 hours and forced him to have sex.
According to Daily Mail, this is the first time a wife has been charged with marital rape in the country. Reports stated that the woman did the act so she could acquire favourable evidence to use in court during divorce proceedings.
Spousal and marital rape was recognized as a crime by South Korea’s Supreme Court in 2013, when it upheld a lower court’s verdict to jail a man who forced his wife to have sex while threatening her with a weapon.
