Halle Berry Files for Divorce for the Third Time

Hollywood actress, Halle Berry has filed for a divorce from Olivier Martinez. This would be the third time that the stunning beauty would be bailing out on marriage. After her second marriage ended, she was reported to have said she was not going to marry again, but then, she took the plunge again. It is unfortunate that this also didn’t work out and the couple are getting a divorce after a mere two years.

TMZ report says Halle who filed for the divorce first cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the action. A source close to the couple is quoted to have agreed saying, “They have a personality difference” while another said, “They’re just very, very different people. He’s a very macho guy, and things just didn’t jive.”

The report further said a certain incident at Los Angeles, where Olivier hit a guy with a car seat had exacerbated their conflicts. Olivier got sued for the incident last week and the couple argued about the suit, and it became a breaking point. The couple who had drawn up a prenuptial agreement before their wedding issued a joint statement;

“It is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce. We move forward with love and respect for one another and the shared focus for what is best for our son. We wish each other nothing but happiness in life, and we hope that you respect our, and most importantly our children’s privacy, as we go through this difficult period.”

They have a son together, Maceo, who is 2 years old and Halle has a daughter, Nahla, from her previous relationship with Gabriel Aubry. On the matter of custody, Halle who is expecting a quick, non-contentious divorce is said to be asking for what is in “the best interests of the child.”
