How Man Decieved Woman With Marriage Proposal To Abduct 7-Weeks-Old Baby

The Anambra State police have arrested a man named Onyekachi Ebochina for alleged child trafficking. Onyekachi who had gone to Miss Stella Nnaluo’s house to seek her hand in marriage left with her and her seven weeks-old baby after discussing with her father and dropping some gifts.

According to ABS, Stella revealed that immediately they got to his home, he took her son and said that he wanted to send the boy to a sister nearby before sending him to another sister in the United States of America.

Stella said when she disagreed with his plans, he forced her to drink some concoctions while making some incantations. He also brought a staff and made her swear an oath not to reveal what happened to anyone or ask about the baby again, after which she could not remember anything again.

Weeks later, Stella claims she was able to regain her senses and escaped when Onyekachi travelled. She went back to her father’s house in Umuoba-Anam where she narrated her ordeal which led to the arrest of Onyekachi.  Stella also revealed that in one of the rooms where Onyekachi lived, were two pregnant teenage girls.

When interviewed, Onyekachi claimed he is not a child trafficker and said he sent the boy to his sister because she will take better care of him than the mother.

The police revealed that when the suspect was arrested, the child was found in Nasarawa state and brought back to Umuoba Anam, adding that the staff which he used to administer oaths to his victims is presently in their custody. There were rashes and scars on the baby body when he was found.
