Mum Remanded in Prison With 4-Month-Old Baby
A breastfeeding mum in Lagos remanded at the Kirikiri Maximum Prison over assaulting her neighbour, Chinonye Kenneth, has been forced to take her 4-month-old baby, Akachi Keneth, along pending her release.
According to PM News, she was arrested by the police at Ikotun Division and charged before Ejigbo Magistrates’ court after reportedly pushing her neighbour, Godwin Anigbogu, into a gutter at their residence during a quarrel. Her neighbour is said to have sustained injuries.
Chinonye is facing a two-count charge of assault and wounding under the Criminal Code but pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr A. A. Fashola, granted her bail and she remanded in prison custody pending when her bail will be perfected.
The matter was adjourned till 18 November, 2015.
She forgot she is a nursing mum when she went to fight.Anyway she has been granted bail so remaining in prison is in her hands
Oh my God, people should learn how to control their temper see what she has put her innocent baby through Pls they should temper justice with mercy fir d sack of the innocent child.

Just for pushing someone into the gutter……she has to be kept at the maximum security where robbers and murderers are????? Really??? with a 4 month old baby…..i mean, it’s way out of line. I don’t subscribe to violence but you treat issues accordingly.

Our justice system is messed up! Rapists ,pedophiles and criminals are walking around free yet a breastfeeding mum was thrown in jail for pushing someone?
