SECONDARY INFERTILITY: M2-Tone & Addyzoa to the Rescue

According to In-vitro specialist and India-based obstetrician and gynaecologist, Dr. Narendra Malhotra, a couple is classified as infertile if both partners have been engaging in sex for at least 12 months without use of any contraceptive and the woman has not conceived. Couples who already have a child or more may also experience difficulty in conceiving another child. This is called secondary infertility.

Generally, the most common causes of female infertility in this case, among other reproductive issues, may be inadequate vitamin C and Zinc in the diet, exposure to environmental hazards and toxins such as pesticides, lead, paint, radiation, radioactive substances, mercury, benzene, boron (a chemical element), and heavy metals, malnutrition, anaemia and excessive stress!

Modifying these behaviours can improve fertility and should be considered when a couple is trying to achieve pregnancy.

According to a research done by a team of fertility specialists in Leland Stanford University, California, United States of America, ovulatory disorders are one of the most common reasons why women are unable to conceive, and account for 30 per cent of women’s infertility.

They say, “Fortunately, approximately 70 per cent of these cases can be successfully treated by the use of drugs. The causes of failed ovulation can be due to hormonal problems – the most common causes of anovulation (the absence of ovulation).”

Ovulation depends upon a complex balance of hormones and their successful interactions, and any disruption in this process can hinder ovulation.

Other causes of female infertility include scarred ovaries due to extensive, invasive, or multiple surgeries, repeated ovarian cysts, which may cause the capsule of the ovary to become damaged or scarred such that follicles cannot mature properly and ovulation does not occur, or infection.

Another cause of female infertility is premature menopause, which presents a rare, and as of yet inexplicable cause of anovulation.

In this case, some women cease menstruation and begin menopause before normal age. It is hypothesized that their natural supply of eggs has been depleted or that the majority of cases occur in extremely athletic women with a long history of low body weight and extensive exercise. There is also a genetic possibility for this condition.

Follicle problems are yet another cause of female infertility. The Stanford experts say although currently unexplained, “unruptured follicle syndrome” occurs in women who produce a normal follicle, with an egg inside of it every month, yet the follicle fails to rupture. The egg, therefore, remains inside the ovary and proper ovulation does not occur.

To help couples overcome their fertility challenges, foremost Nigerian pharmaceutical giant, Fidson Healthcare Plc, in partnership with Charak Pharma, a globally-rated manufacturer of all types of ayurvedic medicines, natural herbal remedies, ayurveda remedies and natural herbs, currently markets two drugs – M2-Tone and Addyzoa – in Nigeria, both of which have been certified to put smiles on the faces of couples who have been trying to have children.

The female version of the drug is M2-Tone tablets. Clinical trials showed that women who were treated with M2-Tone did not suffer nausea or vomiting, nor do they experience breast tenderness or headache – all of which they would have suffered if they were treated with hormones.

The researchers assured that M2-Tone is safe for long-term use, and can be taken even during menstrual cycle. Ultimately, it improves pregnancy outcomes.

M2-Tone and Addyzoa (for men) are marketed exclusively in Nigeria by Fidson Healthcare Plc and available in all leading pharmacies all over the nation.
