Pregnant Woman Who Hung From Bataclan Window Reunites with Rescuer

A video from the Paris attacks had captured a terrifying image of a pregnant woman who hung onto a second storey window of the Bataclan. She was eventually rescued and a friend of the unidentified woman says she survived and has been in touch with her rescuer, reports Yahoo Parenting.

A man identified only as Sebastien was the rescuer and he says he was forced to crawl across bodies while trying to escape the theater and had came across two windows. He says,

“A woman was hanging from one them; she was pregnant and was pleading with the people below her to catch her if she jumped. Below it was chaos.”

Sebastien says he climbed through the other window and clung to a vent about 50 feet above the ground. He reportedly hung on to the vent for about five minutes and then he says he obliged the pregnant and exhausted woman’s request that he should help her climb back inside,

“I held on for five minutes and then the pregnant woman, who was exhausted, asked me to help her get back inside. And that is what I did.”

He says he didn’t know where the woman went afterward. He narrates more of his experience, saying he was forced to lie on the floor as the gunmen fired from a balcony and he heard them say they wanted the people to suffer like those in Syria. Sadly, he watched as concertgoers were killed and was only able to escape when the police raided the building.

“I felt the barrel of a Kalashnikov against my leg. I was trampled but it was the happiest pain of my life. I was protected. I was alive.” He says.

A friend of the pregnant woman tweeted that,

“We have found the man who saved my friend. The rest of the story is theirs.”
