‘I Have Forgiven Her’ – Daughter Says As Mum Preps to Marry Man She Snatched From Her
A daughter whose mum served an ultimate betrayal by cheating with, getting engaged to and now preparing to walk down the aisle with her man has said the ugly episode which nearly tore the family apart is all forgiven. However, she won’t be attending their wedding next year as she says she can’t bring herself to watch her mum wed her ex.
Danni said: “I won’t be going to the wedding because it would be awkward for us all. I can’t forget what happened, but I have forgiven my mum and I’m happy for her. The affair broke my heart and had a huge impact on me, but I’ve learnt the true meaning of the saying ‘blood is thicker than water’. You only get one mum. I never thought she would hurt me like that but I had a choice: get over it or lose her. I wasn’t ready to let her go.”
Danni, a young mum who is now happy with new partner, Damion Airth, split from Anthony Key after he confessed to having sex with her mum, Marie.
According to Mirror UK, devastated, she cut the pair off and left the town where she grew up. But the couple remained together and recently got engaged. Now, the man who was once her lover will soon be her stepfather, and her relationship with her mum is back to normal.
Her mum, a grandmother of seven, said she has no regrets over her relationship, adding: “If I went back in time, I’m not sure I’d do the same again. It hurt Danni so much. Of course we will miss her at the wedding, but I understand why she can’t be there. She’s my little girl and I’m only pleased she could find it in her heart to forgive me.”
Danni added: “People might think I’m mad for forgiving her, but she’s my mum and I love her. Nothing will change that. I thought it was just sex or a cheap affair, but they are in love and Anthony isn’t going anywhere, so I have to deal with that.”
