7 Things No One Told You About A Newborn

You think you have heard it all? Wait, until your newborn finally arrives, then you will start to wonder why no one ever talked about the things you are beginning to discover. Then the familiar question pops, “is this common with other babies or is they something wrong with mine?” Here are a good number of things about your newborn no ones talked about….

1. Your baby will be born with wrinkled skin, instead of the plump smooth skin you are expecting. This will change in a matter of weeks as your baby begins to feed.

2. Newborns are covered in hair (lanugo) which eventually thins out as their tiny bodies fill out.

5. Your baby’s head will not be perfectly round.

6. Several days to a few weeks after your baby is born they will most likely develop ‘Baby acne,’ which are small rash-like bumps on their face and head. They are completely normal, and are a result of the hormones in your breast milk.

7. Babies breathe in a funny way. You will hear your baby snort, squeak or grunt. It’s usually nothing to worry about.
