See the Joke University Student Played Out to Wish Family a Happy Holiday Season

A 25-year-old Michigan student, at Saginaw Valley State University, Joshua Brassow has given his extended family the gift of laughter for Christmas, Yahoo Parenting reports. Brassow hired a fake family and created a joke Christmas card to, “baffle my aunts, uncles, and especially my grandparents.”

However it is not only Brassow’s relatives that shared in the joke of him posing as a man newly married to a woman twice his age and a stepfather to two boys; the image that’s gone viral with more than 1.4 million views on Imgur makes everyone laugh especially when they read the caption accompanying the card: “Seasons Greetings from the Brassows. Josh & Patty ‘Bone-Crusher’ Johnson, and the boys Blade & Thor.”

The prankster who has six siblings and parents from large families said he has relatives whom he has not seen in a while and further explains that,

“My family’s pretty socially conservative so I knew that they would look at that and wonder what I’d got myself into. Some of them (relatives) I haven’t seen in five, 10 years.”

He added that he wanted the card to look believable enough to his extended family so that they would believe he “got this woman almost twice my age pregnant, and I have to step up and raise these kids.”

Brassow found his fake wife, and her real kids through Facebook, having posted an ad last month describing himself as a “pretty chill dude trying to pull a prank”. He had offered $20 for someone willing to pose with her children for an “awkward photo” with “lots of turtle necks and ugly clothes.” The model however, opted to participate for free and Brassow says of the scowling woman covered in tattoos,

“She’s not as scary as she is in the picture. We had to try really hard to make her look rough.”

Judging from the number of views and from his family’s reaction, Brassow’s joke was a win, he recently said in a tweet that,

“Wanted to do this for years. Finally took the initiative to give the world the Christmas card it deserves…[My dad] started laughing so hard his face turned red. He had tears in his eyes.”
