American Aid Worker Stabbed To Death In Costa Rica By Jealous Younger Lover

Police in Costa Rica are investigating the death of a U.S. aid worker, Sondra Lynn Elizondo from Merritt Island, Florida, who was allegedly stabbed to death in a hotel room by her jealous younger lover, reports Daily News.

The body of 46-year-old Elizondo was found naked by a hotel employee at the Casa 69 hotel in the district of San Jose. The mum of two was stabbed more than four times, with wounds to her neck and face, said the police who are on the lookout for the suspect; a man younger man by 15 years, said to be Elizondo’s lover. The unidentified man allegedly fled the scene in a taxi.

Friends told investigators that the alleged killer was an extremely jealous man who “never let her speak to anybody.”Elizondo is a divorced mother of a teenage boy and girl, and was the director and co-founder of VIDA Volunteers, an organization that set up medical and dental clinics in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Guatemala.
