See Why Woman Turned Down Boyfriend’s Elaborate Marriage Proposal
A man in Chengdu, south-west China, who planned and executed a quite elaborate performance to ask his girlfriend to marry him, got the biggest shock of his life when she saw the engagement ring and said ‘no’.
According to reports, before he got down on one knee to propose, there were dancers performing and someone brought in a large bouquet of roses.
She had at first burst into tears when he got down on one knee but things changed after he opened the engagement ring box. As soon as she saw the one-carat rock on the ring he was proposing with, she reportedly turned and left.
A series of messages later revealed why she turned him down.
She said: ‘Before we agreed on an one carat diamond ring. Why is it so small? Is he so careless or he just doesn’t care?’
Is this the most flimsy excuse to turn down a proposal?

Mine proposed with a ring he bought from these aboki and in the 4-6 months of courtship I had to coat it with colourless nail hardener to make sure it wnt rust or fade. But guess what? My wedding rings (both) are 24carat gold and studded with diamonds. I will show my kids the old ring to learn from. She didn’t love him at all. He should be thankful she left.
