FAMILY RECIPE: Rice With Veggie, Bacon & Chicken Stew

Hey, mums! Be sure to excite your family’s taste buds with this yummy recipe this weekend.

You’ll need

1 tbsp paprika


1 large onion (chopped)
1 large green paprika (chopped)


1 bay leaf
1 cup cabbage (chopped)
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp oil (optional)
1 large carrot (chopped)
Seasoning
500 g boneless chicken (cut into bits)
2tbsp tomato paste
Some cherry tomato (optional)
Two thumbs ginger (cut into 2-3 pieces each)
1/2 dl bacon (chopped)

How to prepare

In a large bowl, mix chicken, paprika and seasoning together evenly and set aside for 10 minutes.

Fry bacon in oil until lightly brown. Add chicken and keep frying for 5 minutes. Add onion, bay leaf and ginger. Cover to fry for 3 minutes, stiring consistently. Add cabbage, fresh paprika and carrots. Cook until they are soft to your taste. Mix tomato paste with water and pour it on the stew. Stir and cover to cook for 2 minutes. Adjust seasoning to taste. Take out the ginger. Turn off heat and add cherry tomatoes. Cover and allow the heat to steam the tomatoes. Serve warm with rice.
