PHOTOS: After Living Together For 45 Years, Elderly Couple Wed In A Port Harcourt Church Mass Wedding
A 72 year old man and 60 year old woman who have lived together for about 45 years without any proper marriage rites wedded yesterday, Saturday, February 20 at a church in Port Harcourt.
The church (Omega power ministries) announced the good news on their Facebook page, adding that they financially supported the weddings of another 140 couples who have been living together for many years without an actual marriage. They financial aid catered to the bride price, wedding gown for brides, suit, shirt and even ties for the grooms.

When asked, the Pastor in charge said he decided to undertake this whole procedure because it is a sin before God for two people who aren’t married to live together as husband and wife and considering the number of people who lived together without being wedded, he wouldn’t want that number of his congregation to “go to hell-fire”.
