Heartbreaking! A Dad Allegedly Did This to 8-Year-Old Son
An 8-year-old boy, Chukwuma Okafor is presently on admission at the Kubwa General Hospital in Abuja after a severe beating by his dad left his hand and leg fractured, with cane marks all over his body.
Facebook user, IG Wala who shared the heartbreaking story with photos of the poor boy, said after the beating, his dad ignored his condition and still went ahead to drop him off at school where concerned teachers contacted a Nun who rushed him to the hospital.
After undergoing series of X-rays, it was revealed he has a fracture on his leg and hand as a result of the beating which the boy said was carried out using a pestle.
A reporter with VOA Hausa, Hassan Maina Kaina, who was in the hospital to check on his friend at the time, saw the boy’s condition and encouraged reporting the case to the Police. The school subsequently reported to the Police in Kubuwa and the boy’s dad was arrested for child abuse.
The man has now claimed he is a disciplinarian and his arrest over the matter is an example of the kind of embarrassment his 8 year old son brings to his family. He is however yet to state the reason for such brutal assault.
Meanwhile, his son’s school teachers have said this is not the first time he would mete out such evil treatment to the boy as the scars on the boy’s head and back confirm. They added they had on several occasions made futile efforts to intervene on the boy’s behalf.
WTF? That child needs to be taken away from him asap before he kills him. Nigeria is slacking too much in cases like this. What sort of stupid disciplinarian is he? Trying to kill a child. Where are those who advocate for a child to be beaten? Saying spare the rod and spoil the child Mtscheeeeeeewwww. Tomorrow now they will say the child should forgive the father afterall he is his father rubbish. If his own parents disciplined him like this, would he have lived to have kids?
