See What Son Allegedly Did to Mum for Refusing to Accept Pregnant Girlfriend in Lagos
A 30-year-old man in Lagos, Ibrahim Oniyide, allegedly stabbed his mother, Tawa Oniyide, to death for refusing to accept his 8 months pregnant girlfriend. He reportedly stabbed her with a kitchen knife at the deceased’s residence in the Abule Egba area of Lagos.
According to Tribune, the police revealed the suspect had gone to introduce the woman to his mum as his future wife, demanding she moved in with her. His mum however refused to take the pregnant woman in, adding that she was not interested in her and that the suspect should have brought her in the early stage of the pregnancy.

Ibrahim reportedly got angry, grabbed the knife she was using to peel yam in the kitchen and stabbed her in different parts until she died.
He was charged before an Ebute Magistrates’ Court for murder and has since been remanded in the Ikoyi Prisons.
