Man Cries Out as Lagos Judge Allegedly Marries Ex After Dissolving Their Marriage

A Lagos State Customary Court Judge, Mr. Razak Adeyeri, was reportedly suspended by the Lagos Judicial Commission after a man identified as Ayeni alleged he hurriedly dissolved his marriage to ex, Doyin, when they approached his court to resolve their issues and subsequently married her.

According to Punch, Ayeni had initially called for help to get custody of his two children, whom he said were taken away from him and made to live in the judge’s house.

He said,

“When I married my wife, I invested N5m in her school business. But the success of the business caused problem. I could not control her again.

She had to move out of the house and rented an apartment in our area. After 10 months, I took her to court, thinking I would be able to resolve the matter through an alternative dispute resolution. But the judge, Dr. Ishola Adeyeri, hurriedly dissolved my marriage and impregnated her three months after the dissolution of my marriage.

What really pained me was that the ruling was obnoxious. He denied me access to my children. He ordered that I could only see the children on the school premises once in a week. He took over the business I started with the woman. He still wanted to send me to jail. He had been using the police to harass me. He brought the police to my house and I was detained at Abbattoir Police Division.

He used his office to destroy my marriage. He dissolved my marriage in February 2o15 and my ex-wife gave birth to his child in March 2016. That shows he impregnated my wife just three months after he dissolved our marriage,” Ayeni had said.

Reacting to Ayeni’s allegations, his ex, Doyin said,

“We got married about seven years ago, but my school has been in existence for 12 years. He did not invest a dime in my business.

He lied by saying I took his children to another man. He was the one who threw me out of his house with the children, saying they were bastards.

We started having problems when I had a miscarriage and he beat me afterwards. He said I had used the unborn child for rituals. He also took me to court and asked for divorce.”

Asked if it was the same judge who ordered their marriage dissolution that she remarried, she said,

“Don’t I have the right to remarry whoever I like after he divorced me? If I was impregnated by the judge, was it when I was still in his house? We had separated since 2013. We were formally divorced February 2015. I remarried in December 2015. I have freedom to marry whoever I chose to marry.

He has continued to threaten my life. People in the neighbourhood can testify to this. I am away from the school now because on March 1, he came to beat me up in the school. I landed in the hospital. I was forced to labour on March 8. The very day he wanted to send me out of his house, he beat me. I have never had a rest of mind since 2013.

What else does he really want from me? After all, he said he was not interested in the relationship again. Since he came to forcibly take the children from the school, I have not set my eyes on my children.”

The judge declined comments.

  • If its the lady that went to court for the first time then she is at fault but with the man statement, he went to court, since he want to resolve their differences why not use marriage counsellors, secondly, the lady never had affair with the judge before the man went to court, because the husband wouldn’t have allow the judge to preside over their matter, it was after then she attracts the judge so its her destiny, she is not to be blame. some men brutality on women is unbelievable, imagine a man throw his pregenant wife from a storey building. If that woman is suffering and no one to help her this man wouldn’t have cried out, he is just jealous that she moves on without him that is the main purpose of this cry.

  • I feel the woman is lieing. ok fine she got married December so how come she gave birth March? Abeg make una forget the woman the JUDGE don cook her very well on what to say and what not to say, that’s Y “wen she was Asked if it was same judge who ordered their marriage dissolution that she remarried” instead of answering the question she turn around and ask them questions back. All of u supporting her shud stop. What I notice she and the JUDGE have been dating unknowing to her husband.

  • Men culd be funny at times..was he not d person who took d issue to court 4 dissolve nd not resolve?….so to him it culd have been beta if d woman suffers after d break up bt since she found luv somewhere else nd actually moved on with her life irrespective of where d luv comes frm,he isn’t happy..ok nah…am sure he’s regretn by now..

  • The woman had it planned all along. The man invested in her business which bcame d bone of contention btw dem. She connived wit d judge 2 get out of d marriage nd find solace in him. Haba! Its too early 2 move on after 3 months of d dessolution of her marriage. The man is not an angel either as he might hav done somtin 2 her 2 make her do what she does. Men, learn 2 cherish ur wives or some1 else will. I rest my case!

  • The man took his case to court seeking for divorce not resolution. The judge must have picked interest in the woman during the trial. The man is only being jealous
