Woman Nabbed for Snatching 7-Week-Old Baby from Mum at the Mall Defends Her Action

A 32-year-old Pennsylvania woman, Cherie Amoore, who snatched a 7-week-old baby boy, Ashsir Simmons, from his mother at a mall food court told police that she had lost her own son few hours after his birth and just wanted a replacement.

According to DailyNews, she had approached the baby’s mother, Malika Hunter at a King of Prussia mall on Thursday evening, struck a conversation and fled with the baby while the mum attended to her other kids.

Police subsequently issued an Amber Alert for the missing boy and found him several hours later sleeping inside a car belonging to Cherie. She was then arrested and baby was reunited with his mum.
