GRAPHIC: Woman Allegedly Throws Rival’s Baby into Pit Toilet

A Ghanaian woman, Mariama Bashiru,was reportedly arrested by the Bole District Police Division for allegedly throwing her ex-boyfriend’s two-week-old baby into a pit toilet.

According to reports, the baby’s mother had left him briefly in care of some children when the suspect allegedly sneaked into their home, picked the baby and dumped him in the pit toilet.

The Bole District Police Commander, ASP Eric Awiadem, reportedly said,

“The complainant, who is the mother of the deceased, left the baby boy in the care of other children in her room. When she returned, the baby was nowhere to be found. A search was conducted and the baby was found in the pit of a public toilet.

The baby’s mother suspected her former rival that she might have done that because she had been coming to the house to confront her former boyfriend on certain issues.

She has been picked up and is in our custody and she has confessed. We are investigating the case.”
