TRAGIC: 16-Year-Old Student Dies After School Fight Over A Boy

A 16-year-old girl died on Thursday morning after a school fight with other girls in a bathroom at Howard High School of Technology in Wilmington, Delaware.

According to Dailymail, the young girl, Amy Inita Joyner-Francis died after being ‘jumped by a gang of bullies’ who slammed her head against a sink in bathroom during fight over a boy.

The fight reportedly started at around 8:15 am before their classes commenced.

According to students who witnessed the fight, Amy and another girl (unnamed) went into a fight in one of the female bathrooms over a boy, name not mentioned. Few minutes later, a gang of other girls joined in the fight against Amy.

One of the girls banged Amy’s head against a bathroom sink. She was found in a critical condition and was rushed in a state police helicopter to the A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children, where she was later pronounced death. The cause of death has not been confirmed.

Kaya Wilson who saw when the fight broke spoke with the local news station after leaving school.

Kayla said, ”She was fighting a girl, and then that’s when all these other girls started banking her -like jumping her – and she hit her head on the sink.”

The Mayor, Dennis Williams said: ”I am so upset that a young lady lost her life today, things like that shouldn’t happen. My heart bleeds for the family, the kids that go to this school, the administrators and this city.”

Amy’s death went viral from Twitter to Facebook as several people across the nation have called her death senseless.

Police wouldn’t reveal any details of the case, but confirmed they are interviewing two female students believed to have been involved in the attack.

All classes at the school were canceled for the rest of the day.
