See What A Mother Did To Save Her Children From A Carjacker

A 21-year-old man, identified as Steven Young, has been arrested for carjacking a vehicle with two young children inside, Daily Mail reports.

According to a San Bernardino, California, police source, Rich Lawhead, the children’s mother, Tatanisha Golden, had stopped her car in front of a convenience store with her engine running and her two children strapped in their car seats in the back. She then went into the convenience store to buy something.

She was leaving the store when she saw the carjacker reversing with her children, a boy and a girl, in the car, sources say. She jumped on the bonnet of the car and held on to it in an attempt to stop the driver from fleeing with her children. But she fell on the pavement, unable to do anything as the car sped off.
“I lost grip as he swerved. I fell off,” the mother told reporters at the scene, adding that she only ran into the store for a minute and had her children within her sight the whole time.
Fortunately, the suspect was chased by two witnesses in another car. Young crashed the car about two miles away from the parking lot and ran off, Lawhead said.
The police arrived to find the children safe and uninjured. A third witness who was walking in the area saw Young running away from the scene and pointed out where he was hiding to the responding police officers.

According to Lawhead, Young might be facing carjacking and kidnapping charges.
