How Husband Wrestled With Robbers Who Beat Wife To Coma In Lagos

A brave man, Segun Viho, has reportedly wrestled with armed robbers who attacked his home and beat up his wife to coma in Ajegunle, Lagos state.

According to a statement released by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) fought with three suspected robbers who attacked his home leading to the arrest of one of them called Wasiu Bashir, while others fled, Information Nigeria gathers.

Narrating how the incident happened, the suspects waylaid Viho at the car park, snatched his documents, phones, and N15,000 at gunpoint before leading him to his flat last Tuesday.

Entering his apartment, two of the robbers threatened to kill Viho in the presence of his children and wife if they fail to produce more valuables.

When the wife refused to surrender what they wanted, Bashir, 22, smashed Segun’s head with the butt of his gun and beat the wife to a pulp.

RRS quoted Viho as saying:

“When he started beating my wife, I summoned the courage to engage him. As soon as we started fighting, his colleague took to his heels.

Bashir, the suspect told RRS that:

“We know he goes to work early in his car and we decided to ambush him. We were three, Michael and I followed him into his flat to collect more money while Joseph was monitoring the situation outside.
