‘Too naughty to be left alone?’ Family Tie 4-Year-Old Boy To A Tree In China

Tough love or child abuse? The sad photos of a 4-year-old recently spotted by passersby in the Yongchuan district of Chongqing, China, have been making rounds on the internet.

The helpless boy simply identified by his surname Zhong, was tied to a tree by his family for being too naughty.

People’s Daily Online reports that Zhong mum passed away in 2015 after suffering from Meningitis, and his father had heavy debts and so moved to another city to try and earn enough cash to pay them off, leaving the little boy to be looked after by his aunt and uncle who are in their 60s.

Speaking with his guardians on the reason why they had to tie him to a tree, they said he is too naughty and are not able to care for him.

Zhong reportedly got missing and it took a team of locals hours to find him. He was seen on Chinese media playing in a spare concrete mixer, which his family say is incredibly dangerous.
