Britain’s dwarf couple, 26-year-old Laura Whitfield and Nathan Phillips, 37, are now married. .

According to Dailymail, the Sunderland dwarf couple met whilst playing dwarfs in a Snow White panto and married in a fairy-tale wedding, with their miracle son as page boy.

Nathan Junior was born with two different forms of dwarfism, anachondaplasia like his mum and pseudochondaplasia like his dad, and was not expected to survive more than a few hours.

However two-and-a-half years later, the healthy toddler acted as a ring bearer at his parent’s wedding.

Laura, a professional entertainer said:

”We met when we were doing a panto in Bath back in 2012. It was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, he was playing Grumpy and I was playing Soppy.

It was amazing because it was the perfect fairy-tale start to our life together – now we are married and the wedding was simply magical.

We waited so long to get married so that little Nathan could be old enough to carry the rings, but in the end the cushion was too heavy for him. He decided he didn’t want to carry it any more and he threw it to the side.

‘It was quite funny and it was really special for us to have him there – he just loves to steal the show.”

After finding out that Nathan had been planning to pop the question, Laura decided to propose herself.

It was only a month after the proposal that the actress found out that she was pregnant – which was an extremely difficult time for the pair.

Laura said:

”At first I was advised to consider abortion by the doctors because I was having a few health complications with my pregnancy, however I was determined to see how far we could make it with little Nathan and we both fell in love with him at the first scan.

It is touch and go when he was born because they did not think he would survive more than a coupe of hours after birth because of his double dwarfism, but he was a little fighter and now he is practically fine.

Doctors said that although little Nathan may have a few extra GP appointments compared to other children, there is no reason that he should not have a life like any other kid his age.

The same goes for myself and big Nathan – I suffered a bit of bullying at school because of my condition, but I soon learned how to stick up for myself and people sharp stopped bothering me.

I know that people doubt us because we are little, but we are just like everyone else – the only thing that is different is our height.

The wedding was a great platform to show everyone how confident we both are within ourselves – and we had the best day of our lives.”

Laura wore an £800 designer dress as the couple exchanged their vows at the South Causey Inn in County Durham.
