“Women, we are not only good in the kitchen.” Yemi Alade Quips As She Grabs MAMA’s Award For Best Female Artiste

Johnny singer, Yemi Alade has added another feather to crown by grabbing the ‘best female artiste’ award at the MTV Africa Music Awards 2016.

Also nominated for the same category were great contenders like Josey (Ivory Coast), Mz Vee (Ghana), Vanessa Mdee (Tanzania) as well as Mavin singer, Tiwa Savage.

While delivering her acceptance speech, Alade took the opportunity to remind women that they don’t only belong to the kitchen and can be good anywhere they want to be.

The ‘Johnny’ singer is also the first female to be nominated for ‘artiste of the year’ category.
