Sad!! Baby Electrocuted After Playing With Parent’s Phone While Charging
A baby girl has reportedly died in the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan, after being electrocuted because she was playing on a smartphone that her parents left to charge.
The baby’s name and her parents names haven’t been given yet, but Mirror reports that a nursing staff, where the girl was rushed too, took a picture of the girls scorched limbs and posted it to spread awareness about the dangers of charging mobile phones near young children. She wrote, “Do not leave your babies unattended with chargers.”
The baby’s mother, was asleep nearby as her daughter played with a mobile phone cord where the wire had become exposed. A family member, who pleaded anonymity, according to the reports had divulged that the girl was chewing on the chord while it was charging, exposing herself to the live wires while her mother slept. It was believed the baby playing with the cable, was what caused it to wear down and become exposed, leading to the child being electrocuted.
The child’s mother became suspicious, when she woke up from her nap and realized that her baby was too quiet. Within seconds she turned her baby over and saw she was not breathing and felt no pulse. She then wrapped her in a blanket before rushing her to hospital. But by the time she arrived at the hospital it was too late for the doctors to do anything for her daughter as the tot was already dead. They confirmed the child had died from electrocution, with burn marks that were clearly visible on her hand and arm.
It is not known whether police are investigating the incident. Parents are please advised to stop keeping electrical appliances to children of any age.
