So Heartbreaking…Debbie Reynolds Dies 1 Day After Her Daughter Carrie Fisher’s Death

It has been reported that US actress Debbie Reynolds,  has died after suffering a stroke just one day after the death of her daughter, renowned actress, Carrie Fisher. 

The 84-year-old was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital this morning, where she later died. Reynolds, who was a leading lady in Hollywood, and widely known for her musicals and comedies in the 1950’s and 1960’s, was at her son’s apartment, discussing and planning funeral arrangements for her late daughter when she suffered the stroke, ABC reports. Todd Fisher said the stress of his sister’s death on Tuesday was too much for his mother to handle.

“She’s now with Carrie and we’re all heartbroken. She said, ‘I want to be with Carrie’. And then she was gone,” he said.

Carrie Fisher, who played the role of Princess Leia in the original Star Wars,  died aged 60. She suffered a heart attack while returning from a book signing event in London on Sunday, she never recovered and died on Tuesday.
