Sad! Why Yoruba Actress Kemi Afolabi, Reportedly Suffered a Miscarriage 

Nollywood actress and producer, Kemi Afolabi ,has reportedly suffered a miscarriage after a harrowing experience on a movie set in  Ikorodu, Lagos.

According to reports, she was hit in the stomach by some thugs who also attacked the movie producer, Ijaduade Azeez, and broke his legs. The cameraman and other members of the crew were also injured.

The thugs, who are popularly known as Omo onile or Area boys, not only disrupted the set of her movie but allegedly beat the actress up.

He was said to have allegedly punched Afolabi in the stomach causing her to bleed, all because they were not given money by the movie producer before the shoot commenced.

She was reportedly expecting her second child with her UK-based partner, Wale Adesipe.

Her spokesperson said: ”One of the hoodlums hit her in the tummy and she started bleeding.”

After the incident, the actress was rushed to the hospital where it was gathered that the she had lost her baby.

According to unconfirmed sources, there are indications that the blow to her stomach had affected the fetus and triggered a miscarriage. The husband of the actress is said to be devastated by the news.

Afolabi is presently recuperating at a hospital in Victoria Island.

  • All these omo onile, and agberos need to be flushed out of Lagos state. They don’t want to work, but they want to make money off people especially those nurtw people (agberos) it is sad. But then again the government gets something from them, so apparently nothing can be done. I feel so sorry for the actress who lost her pregnancy.
