Dear MIMster: She’s Keen on Getting Married to Me but I Have Trust Issues

I have been dating my girl friend for a while and she’s seriously keen on getting married to me. I also would like to marry BUT there’s this issue that leaves me so confused.

She recently cheated on me and I caught her redhanded. Not only that, she was not remorseful and did not seem ashamed when she was in the act. She even rubbed all of her cheating activities in my face and maltreated me all through the period while she was cheating.

I guess when she realised that she was losing me after I moved out of the house we were both living in together, she came back begging after a few months. I forgave and she told me that she is now ready to get married.

She said it was devil who pushed her into the act and didn’t know why she went to the man she cheated with. My dilemma now is: should I forget her act of infidelity and fornication and marry her? She cries everyday and pleads that she’s now a changed person. The problem is those dirty act of her always hit my mind sometimes and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I feel I cannot trust her.

The fact is this is not the first time that she will be cheating on me. She cheated on me before earlier in our relationship and did the recent one after many years. I seriously need to settle down but I don’t know if this kind of girl is the right person for me after everything she has done.

Should I go ahead to marry a woman I do not trust?
