Dear MIMsters: Husband Wants a Divorce for These Reasons
My husband of almost two years called me yesterday to tell me that he wants a divorce.
He traveled to the United States in March this year and already has his official documents so that isn’t an issue. His reasons for wanting a divorce are;
1. When we got married my dad spoke to him to move into a new house he had built at that time. He says because of that my brothers gossiped that he stays in his father-in-law’s house and doesn’t pay anything. He claims my family hates him.

2. I’m close to my family so he believes I gossip about him with my family. He claims a reliable source has told him that I sit down with my family to insult him.
3. He says he is sick and tired of me because when people said he was a gold digger for marrying me, I didn’t fight them but instead, I gossiped about him.

Lastly, he had wanted to divorce me before going to the United States but it would have been obvious so he told me I will hear from his family soon. We have a 10-months old daughter and I don’t know what to do. I’m confused.
Accept the divorce and sign the damn papers. Don’t let any man d you wrong. He wants a divorce? Then you give him. Who knows God might be saving you from future disaster.
This man is already living in the US and can decide never to look for you and the child again, so indirectly, he’s divorced you. He’s just trying to make it official. I suggest you look for a way to move on cos this your man is very petty and might even be settling down soon with another woman in Yanky.
Don’t beg a man to be in this life. Let him go.
