It’s Official! At 21, Kylie Jenner Just Became The Youngest Self-Made Billionaire Of All Time!

It’s official! American reality television personality, model, entrepreneur, socialite, and social media personality, Kylie Kristen Jenner, 21, is the youngest self-made billionaire of all time. Forbes confirmed it on Tuesday.

The business magazine admitted her to the “nine-zero” fortune club, ranking her as the world’s 2,057th richest person.

In July 2018, she made headlines (and caused a controversy) when she appeared on the magazine’s cover. In case you forgot, people were a little upset that the mag categorized her as “self-made.” At the time, Forbes calculated her net worth at $900 million, so she was well on her way to hitting the billions mark.

It has taken her 7 long months to finally clinch the position, but seriously, the mom-of-1 said she had no idea her cosmetics line would be as successful as it has become.

“I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future, but the recognition feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back.”

By this achievement, Kylie has topped American technology entrepreneur and Facebook CEO, Mark Elliot Zuckerberg, 34, who became a billionaire at 23. This means Kylie got ahead of him by 2-years.

When queried about Forbes usage of ‘Self-made’ for her, the billionaire -in an interview with Paper Magazine- said her parents actually cut her off when she was 15 and haven’t supported her financially since then.

“My parents told me I needed to make my own money, it’s time to learn how to save and spend your own money, stuff like that. What I’m trying to say is I did have a platform, but none of my money is inherited.”

Jenner’s fortune comes from Kylie Cosmetics, the makeup company she runs largely from her iPhone, with the help of her mom, Kris. Forbes estimated that the cosmetics company, which is 100%-owned by Jenner, made $360m (£274m) in sales in 2018.
