Yesterday, Sonia, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor and Colombian beauty set social media on fire after dropping an official statement on her Instagram page announcing the official separation from her husband, Ik Ogbonna. 

The couple got married in 2015 and together, they have a son, Ace. Ik has an older daughter from a previous relationship.

Sonia’s announcement of the end of their short-lived marriage has drawn a lot of reactions from fans, and colleagues including, Tonto Dikeh and Yvonne Jegede; Rita Dominic, Omoni Oboli and others.

Divorced mom-of-one, Tonto Dikeh cheered Sonia writing: ”You are a Queen. Rep that crown honey. We love you.”

Single mom, Yvonne Jegede wrote: ”Sonia I know how it must have felt to write this. But girl. I wish you all the best. Love your energy, love your spirit.”

Yvonne was formerly married to actor, Olakunle ‘Abounce’ Fawole. Their marital crisis began after the duo welcomed their son. The actress who welcomed her first child 21-months after she got married to Abounce disclosed that said she and her ex husband started having issues in their marriage three months after she got pregnant with her son.

The Edo State-born movie star said when the issues in her marriage became obvious and irredeemable she moved out of their matrimonial home after a mutual agreement.

However, Yvonne said her marriage to Abounce was worth it for the months it lasted. She said the times they shared together as a couple were nice and sweet so she wouldn’t trample on those times.

IK Ogbonna has been silent on social media since Sonia who has been holidaying around the world posting sultry pictures made the announcement.
