Yul Edochie Appreciates Dad, Pete’s Strictness, Shares How His No-Nonsense Approach To Parenting Made His Children Tough

Celebrity dad, Yul Edochie has shared his childhood moments with his dad, Pete Edochie and how he has made him tough for difficult moments.

Recounting his experience as a child, Yul described his dad as a no-nonsense man, who was strict to a fault despite the pettings from their mom.

The Presidential aspirant said their dad’s mean face and belt in hand automatically translates to something whenever they refused to take a particular malaria drug as kids after their mum had begged them to take it.

According to the dad-of-three, his father was a tough man, even though he was scared of him then, he now realise the joy of having a father as he expresses his utmost love and appreciation for him.

In his words:

“Those days as kids, when we had malaria my mum could spend so long petting and begging you to take your Nivaquine drugs which were very bitter then.

When that style no work, she’ll now send someone to go call Popsi. Omo, Once my Dad comes into the room, standing at the door staring at you with his mean face and his belt in hand bros you go rush your drugs instantly and be happy after taking them.

And once he’s around you must take your drugs with water, no matter how bitter it is, no drink for you oo, just water.????.”

Yul further revealed that his father never pampered a child and was strict to a fault so much that they were scared of him. He however added that the way they were brought up made him and his siblings tough.

“Popsi was strict to a fault.
Him no get time to pet you oo.
No nonsense man.
Those days we dey fear am oo.
Now I appreciate him so much.
He made us tough.
