‘What Do Men Want?’ -TV Anchor, Morayo Afolabi -Brown Asks As She Reacts To The Cheating Scandal Of Nigerian Gospel Singer, Sammie Okposo
Morayo Afolabi-Brown, who anchors the programme ‘Your View’ on Television Continental, TVC, has reacted to the cheating scandal of Nigerian gospel musician, Sammie Okposo.
Sammie Okposo’s infidelity was a topic of discussion on TVC’s breakfast show and the moderators made some allegations, including that Sammie’s infidelity has been going on for years and female churchgoers used to fight because of him in church.
Sammie released a statement on Monday, January 25, confessing to cheating on his wife of over 11 years and apologizing for his actions.
Almost immediately, an interview granted by the woman, a US-based lady, identified as African Doll, he cheated with was released.
In the interview, Doll revealed that she is pregnant and Sammie wanted her to abort the pregnancy.
On TVC’s breakfast show, the hosts discussed Sammie’s infidelity and claimed it’s no news that he has been dealing with “sex addiction” for years.
Temitope Mark Odigie, one of the moderators, also recalled how Sammie Okposo was sacked in Pastor Paul Adefarasin’s Church over alleged fornication with Choir members.
Tope also said that Sammie who is yet to have a child with his housewife, was in the news years back for promising many women marriage and causing confusion in the church as a result.
“The story was everywhere about what he was doing and women were fighting each other inside the church… So. he’s had this issue a long time ago,”
Temitope said.
Morayo on the other hand said Sammie isn’t cute and his wife is gorgeous, yet he cheated on her, questioning what men want in a relationship and marriage.
“The guy no fine sef,” Morayo Brown interjected as Temitope spoke.
Morayo added:
“See how fine his wife is. So, the question is, what do men want? You have a woman who is such a treasure. The woman is a gorgeous woman and those who know her are saying she’s such a fantastic human being.
“You have a trophy that people think you don’t deserve, because you don’t even look like you deserve it…You know when he married her we were like ‘ah, how did she? What did he even tell this woman that she even answered? Is it jazz?’ You’ll now have that, you’ll now carry… come on!”
Co-host, Akashat Nymat then quipped in, asking if Sammie is “admitting that he has sex addiction” because the first step to addressing the issue is admitting your faults.
Recall that Sammie on Tuesday 25th January 2022 tendered an unreserved apology to his wife for cheating on her during a recent trip to the USA.
In a statement shared on his Instagram page, Sammie regrets his actions noting that it was inappropriate for a married man and minister of the Gospel.
He noted that his actions had caused much pain to his wife and family; hence, he would be suspending himself from all ministry work until complete restoration.
According to Sammie, he broke his wife’s trust and disappointed her but hopes to build back the trust and confidence eventually.
