Women’s Rights Advocate Bemoans Rate Of Firstborns Being ‘Illegitimate Children Of Their Fathers’, Shares Shocking Private Message From A Follower

UK-based Nigerian women’s liberation and empowerment advocate, Olabisi Ekwueme Ajai, has advised women to stay away from other men if they are getting married as she decried the rate at which some first born children turn out to be illegitimate children of their fathers.

The author gave the advise while reacting to a private message she received from a follower who said she is pregnant for another man barely two months to her wedding. The follower had written:

“I am pregnant but my fiancé is not the father. Aunty Ada, I am in trouble o. What do I do…. I am getting married this April, my fiancé is coming home to do the traditional marriage and white wedding, He is abroad and I haven’t seen him since Dec. 2020 but I just found out today that I am pregnant.”

According to Olabisi, the rate at which some first born children are turning out to be illegitimate children of their fathers is ridiculously high.

She wrote on Facebook,

“The rate of first born children being ‘illegitimate’ children of the husband of the mother is unfairly high in my opinion.

“Dear women, if you are getting married, kindly stay away from other men! Would you want your son to be dealt with thus?”
