Dear MIMsters: How Do I Avoid Sleeping With My Guardian?

How do I avoid sleeping with my guardian?

I am living with a family friend whose immediate sisters and brothers also live with him.

He is single but in serious relationship that will most likely lead to marriage. Apart from being a family friend, we also attend the same church. Why am I then living with him, you may ask. It is because I have accommodation problems.

My father is late and my mum cannot afford to hire a place, not even an indecent one. She herself is putting up with another friend. This family friend that I am living with, Uncle Benson took me in because I have no where else to go and provided a roof over my head and puts food on my table. He is like my guardian. For these, I am grateful.

The problem is that he wants to sleep with me at every opportunity he gets which is not so often because his siblings also live in this three bedroom apartment. His sister and I share a room together but he assigns chores that involve me coming into his room. These chores he assigns to me from time to time and I am only 18 years old.

  • Why do men like to take advantage of women they are helping? I mean you are just 18 and he is doing this to you just because he is accommodating you. Please report him to his siblings.

  • He might end up raping you if you don’t stay away from him. Leave his house and find somewhere else to stay

  • You’re just 18 and not yet matured yet the fool wants to take advantage of you. Please report this to your mom let her devise another means of getting you where to stay,
