SHOCKING: How Man Snatched Friend’s Wife & 5 Children in Anambra

A 52-year-old man in Anambra State, Gilbert Maduako, has lost his wife, Oluchi, and five children to his bosom friend, Akwusi Aluwaogu.

According to PMNews, Gilbert and Oluchi’s marriage collapsed after Oluchi moved with her children to Aluwaogu’s home and introduced him to them as their real father.

Both Maduako and Aluwaogu were good friends for years before he married Oluchi. However, unknown to Maduako, his friend was secretly dating his wife even though he visited them as a family friend. He later got to know when he returned from work and did not find his wife and children.

He started looking for them and later found them at Aluwaogu’s house at his village in Akokwa, Imo State, where his supposed wife introduced Aluwaogu as her husband and father of her five children.

It was gathered from the indigenes that the children belong to Maduako, who they said properly married Oluchi by paying her bride price.

They added that trouble started after Aluwaogu planned to give the eldest daughter to a husband at a tender age to collect her dowry.

Maduako got wind of the plan and reported to the police at Umuchu Division who intervened.

The police arrested Aluwaogu and took him to the station where he was interrogated and confessed that he actually wanted to marry off the teenager.

He said since they are living with him and their mother, who is in the best position to tell who their real father is, he had since accepted them as his own children.

He was stopped from marrying off the teenager on grounds that the rightful owner of Oluchi’s children is yet to be established and the girl too young to get married.

On the fate of his friend, Aluwaogu said he cannot force Oluchi to marry him and suggested that he should accept his fate and get himself another wife.
