‘My wife always starves me of sex’ – 75-Year-Old Man Tells Court

A 75-year-old man, Mr Kayode Oguntuase, has asked a customary court in Ado-Ekiti to dissolve his marriage of 26 years after he accused his 53-year-old wife of adultery and depriving him of sex.

He recalled how on several occasions he had caught his wife with other men, claiming she had been involved in several cases of abortions.

“She does not take care of me anymore, she always starves me of sex and also abandons me whenever I am sick,’’ he told the court.

Oguntuase also said he threw his wife out of his home because she always stole his money but accepted her back when the family pleaded with him. He added that he was fed up and asked the court to end the marriage.

On her part, Felicia denied the allegations levelled against her, saying that she stayed with Oguntuase and lived up to her responsibilities as a wife and mother.

She claimed the only time she did not have sex with her husband was when he was ill. She also told the court that her husband, “cannot send me packing because of my assistance to him while he was building the house.”

The President of the court, Mr Joseph Ogunsemi, adjourned the case till Sept. 7, 2015 for final hearing.
