Mixed Reactions After Nurse Breastfeeds One-Month-Old Baby During Surgery
The photo of a nurse breastfeeding a one-month-old baby during surgery has gone viral leading to mixed reactions. The baby girl, Wei Wei, was having a surgery for an anal abscess when she started crying uncontrollably and would not stop. Due to her size and age, local anaesthesia was administered, which meant the baby could still move.
According to the DailyMail, nurse Li Baoxia had just finished a surgery in a nearby theatre when she learnt about the baby’s condition from a colleague. Without thinking twice, Baoxia who was still lactating walked in and breastfed the baby to sooth her while the surgery continued.
Her grateful dad thanked the nurse after the successful surgery. He said: ‘Thank you! You not only cured my child but also breastfed her. As a father, I cannot thank you enough. You’re an angel nurse.’
The breastfeeding photo, shared by a member of staff online, received mixed reactions. While some people hailed the nurse for what she did, others questioned whether the nurse had the right to breastfeed another person’s baby.
It has not been revealed where the baby’s mother was and if the nurse had permission from the family to breastfeed their baby.
If the baby’s father can thank the nurse for what she did, then I think those against it should just take a chill pill.

Well, i have a mixed feeling about this. I wouldn’t want anyone else breastfeeding my kid. On the other hand, it’s not my kid so, i will let it fly since the father doesn’t even give a horse shit.
