Meet The New Born Baby Who Doubles The Weight Of His Older Brothers

A couple, Saima and Munawar were left stunned when they set eyes on their new born baby, Aaron Amaf, who weighed an amazing 12lb 9oz, more than both of his brothers put together.

According to Wales Online, 38-year-old dad, Munawar, from Cardiff said: “The midwife told us she had never seen such a big baby, he was like a celebrity in hospital – all the doctors and nurses wanted to see him. With two boys in the family, we thought we were having a daughter this time, but Azeel and Sami were over the moon to find out they were having a little brother.

The couple found out at their 20-week scan that they were expecting a boy. Aaron was born at 10 a.m on October 14, at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff by planned caesarean.

His brothers were born naturally, Azeel, now eight, weighed 4lb 12oz when he was born and Sami, five, weighed 3lb 8oz.

Recounting Aaron’s birth, Munawar said: “We had a scan at 32 weeks and they told us he was growing well. The doctor said he was very big and suggested a cesarean at that stage, but we were surprised because our other sons were both born by natural delivery. We wondered why we needed a cesarean, but we didn’t realise then quite how big he would be.”

Sapima, 36, had to spend three days in the hospital before she could go home and Munawar revealed they were worried.

He said:  “We were worried about the birth, but the midwives were very caring and talked us through everything so we knew what to expect. It was amazing to bring him home – his brothers were so excited to meet him. He looks exactly like Azeel when he was a baby. They just want to play with him all the time. It’s easy to forget he’s only two weeks old because he’s so big. He’s really happy and smiles all the time.”
