England Striker, Jamie Vardy’s Parents in Long-term Feud With Him Over His Choice of Wife

The footballer is reportedly at the centre of a family feud between his parents and fiancée Becky Nicholson, as the former do not approve of his choice. He is said not to have spoken to his parents for over a year as a result. The couple have been together for more than a year and plan to get married at a ceremony next summer, however, Vardy’s parents, Phil and Lisa, have also reportedly said they will not be attending.

His dad, Phil told The Sun: ‘It’s a real shame and very sad. I have given him 22 years of life to get him to the pinnacle of his career, and I can’t enjoy it… it really upsets me.’

Vardy’s grandfather Gerald Clewes also told the paper ‘that woman’ had come between the 28-year- old footballer and his mother.

Though Vardy is yet to make any comments, his wife-to-be whose Twitter biography already says, ‘Soon to be Mrs @vardy7’, tweeted the message below with a few photos of her with Vardy shortly after news of the feud broke:
