SAD: See What 19-Year-Old Girl Did After Boyfriend Rejected Pregnancy
A 19-year-old girl in Ebonyi simply identified as Chiamaka reportedly committed suicide in her residence at No. 17 Nwike Street, Abakaliki, over the weekend after her boyfriend rejected her pregnancy. She was said to have hanged herself after her parents denied her gifts for the Yuletide owing to the pregnancy.
A family source told the New Telegraph:
“Chiamaka was not happy that her boyfriend denied her in her trying moment because her parents threatened to sanction her for being pregnant. The parents were very angry about it because we, the neighbours, always hear when they quarrelled with her because of the pregnancy and she thought the best thing to do was to go to her boyfriend, at least to have a rest of mind.

But she was disappointed that the boy denied her and I think this might be the reason why she hanged herself.”
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP George Okafor said the police is yet to receive official report on the matter.
