Taliban gunmen and Police in Afghanistan have launched a search for a man, Mohammed Khan, who allegedly cut off his wife’s nose after she expressed reservations about his decision to take his uncle’s seven-year-old daughter as second wife. His brothers then threw her on the back of a motorcycle intending to kill her but neighbours intervened and took her to a hospital.
Reza Gul had endured her abusive marriage to Khan, 25, for six years before the knife attack on Sunday.
According to Mirror UK, the mutilated 20-year-old mum-of-one turned up at the hospital carrying her own nose following the savage attack.
Maroof Samar, a doctor, said she was in a very critical condition when she was brought in as she had lost a lot of blood. Her condition was however said to be stable on Tuesday morning.
She is expected to be flown to Turkey soon for reconstructive surgery.
