Man, 35, Nabbed for Defiling 3-Month-Old Baby in Lagos
Oladele Oladunmoni, 35, was arrested for allegedly forced his finger into a three-month-old baby’s private part and was yesterday arraigned in a Yaba Chief Magistrate’s Court in Lagos for child abuse.
According to Vanguard, the prosecutor, Inspector Rita Momah, who said the law prescribes life imprisonment for child rape, told the court that the accused committed the offence on January 18 at his residence. She added that the accused, who lives in the same building with the mother of the baby, viciously forced his finger into the baby’s private part, and “a medical doctor, who examined the baby, confirmed that she was defiled.”

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of N500,000. The case was adjourned till March 14 for mention.
