Watch: The 9 Year Old Girl Who Sneezes 8,000 Times In A Day

9-year-old girl, Ira Saxena is suffering from a mystery condition that makes her sneeze an average of 10 times a minute.

The only time the young girl from Colchester, Britain, stops is when she is asleep but the moment she wakes up, the sneezing starts. She is also missing school because she is unable to concentrate in lessons due to her condition.

Doctors are baffled by the mystery condition ruling out the most common causes of sneezing such cold or allergies. They have examined Ira and she has tried various remedies but so far none has cured the condition.

According to Mirror, Ira’s mum Priya Saxena has taken her to a GP, specialist and a private clinic, but so far no-one has been able to diagnose the problem or stop it.

Priya narrated: “Three weeks ago she just woke up sneezing and she has not stopped. It started slowly and has progressed to become more constant and violent.

“The doctors are saying it is possibly an incorrect signal being sent from her brain or a tic, but nobody can be sure.

“She is not allergic to anything and has been given, steroids, antihistamines and a nasal spray, but she is just not responding to anything. No-one has seen anything like this before and they are all giving her different things, but nothing is working.”

Ira is now experimenting with homoeopathic medicine. The only time the sneezes stopped was during an hour-long hypnotherapy session, although the sneezing began again afterwards.

Her mother added: “In that session, she didn’t sneeze, which makes us think it is something to do with the brain.”

The youngster said:

“It is really horrible. My face hurts every time I sneeze, it just shoots a sharp pain in my head and sides. I can’t go to school, I can’t finish the day because I’m sneezing so much.

”Some friends think it’s contagious, but it is not, so they don’t want to sit with me.

”I can’t really go outside as it makes it worse and more violent. All I can do is sit at home.

”I can’t really do anything.”

The desperate mother who is pleading for help for her daughter’s condition said:

“It is very frustrating, but the school has been very supportive.

“She tried to go to back but only lasted for one morning before she had to come home because she was just sneezing so much.

“This is robbing her of her life. It is so frustrating and she is being very brave.

“To be truthful, it is affecting me more than it is her, I just want her to be back to how she was before.”
