See What Happens to Toddler After Shower Screen Explodes
A baby endured several cuts after the shower screen exploded while she was in the bath. Mum Stacy Richards, likens the sound to a “gun shot” as the glass shattered, blasting into the air before raining down on her one-year-old daughter, Elsieè-Maie.
She told Dailypost:
“It was like someone had fired a gun at the side of us, there was glass everywhere. Our glass shower screen had spontaneously exploded, never in my life have I moved so fast as I tried to shield her from being hurt.
Elsieè-Maie’s dad came running in and grabbed her from me as I was shaking so much. My one-year-old cut to shreds in what I can only explain as a freak incident. Elsieè-Maie was screaming, it was horrible, there was no warning.When I tucked her up in bed last night, she was very unsettled and kept on waking up crying.”
The toddler was left with a dozen plus cuts which her mom said could have been a lot worse. The 24-year-old mom, is using her experience to speak on the danger of having a shower screen, adding that:
“There was nothing wrong with our shower screen, it wasn’t cracked or chipped and yet this still happened. From what we’ve been reading up on the internet, it’s quite a common fault with these kind of shower screens, so why they are they being allowed to still be used is beyond me. I just wanted to make people aware as I would hate for another baby to go through this.”

Thank God she came out with minor injuries, this would have been a disaster.
