Husband Cuts off Wife’s Ears in Shocking Domestic Violence Incident
Zarina, a 23-year-old woman has been left traumatized after her husband cut off both of her ears. Zarina, who was married at the age of 13 explained that she had a horrible relationship with her husband. Her husband is currently on the run.
Speaking to BBC, the 23-year-old said from her hospital bed that her husband suddenly woke up at midnight and attacked her and cut off her ears with a knife. She added:
“I haven’t committed any sin. I don’t know why my husband did this to me.
Although Zarina, is now stable in the hospital, she however wants to put an end to her marriage. She claims that he prevents her from visiting her family and is always suspicious of her movement.
“He is a very suspicious man and often accused me of talking to strange men when I went to visit my parents,” she said.
She has demanded his arrest and prosecution.
Zarina’s case is reportedly the latest in a series of high-profile domestic abuse incidents and cases of violence against women in Afghanistan.
