“Being a father at 56 will change a lot of things” – George Clooney

George Clooney is speaking up for the first time since since news about him and wife Amal, expecting twins surfaced online. When asked by French film host Laurent Weil, about how he is preparing for fatherhood, Clooney, joked saying “lock yourself in a room.”

However, the actor got candid about the news saying:

“It’s exciting and we’re really happy and really excited. It’s going to be an adventure. We’ve embraced the moment with arms wide open. Clooney, after discovering French actor Jean-Paul Belmondo, welcomed a child at 70 said,  I”m feeling a little better about being 56 by the time they arrive.”

Clooney explained how friends helped put him at ease upon hearing the news. He said:

We went out to dinner the other night, and it’s a table of eight guys and all their kids are away in college, and we are sitting there and they were all being very supportive saying everything is going to be great, you’re going to love it.
Then it got really quiet, and they all just started making baby crying noises and the whole table just busted up laughing. It’s going to change a lot of things but that’s OK, that’s life.”
