Shocking! Angry Boy Kills Landlady, Daughter And Grandchildren Over A Disagreement Between Them

A teenager has been arrested by authorities in Abuja after he allegedly set ablaze his parent’s landlady, her daughter and her three grandchildren.

Punch reports that an 18-year-old boy called Sunday lived with his parents at Tudun-Fulani, in the Bwari area of Abuja, in the landlady’s house.

The suspect reportedly locked the family in their apartment after he noticed they had called it a night. Sunday set their house ablaze and watched as the fire raged on. When he was sure that the victims were trapped, he went straight to the Bwari Police Station to report the incident.

The fire raged on for hours before residents were able to put it out. Remains of the five victims were eventually removed from the razed apartment and taken to a morgue by the police.

It was gathered that Sunday’s mother fled from the area after the incident.

What led to Sunday to end the life of his parent’s landlady and her family in this gruesome manner was  was a misunderstanding between Sunday and the landlady’s family members, it was revealed, was a broken relationship between Sunday and the landlady’s daughter. And Sunday threatened to deal with them.

A police source said that he and his colleagues were shocked when the suspect came to the station to report the incident.

He said, ”Last Thursday, after the family members had gone to bed, the suspect locked their apartment’s door from outside, drenched the building with fuel and set the house ablaze. By the time the police got there, they had been burnt beyond recognition. I was told that he and the landlady’s daughter were dating each other until recently when their relationship turned sour.”

Police Public Relations Officer in Abuja, ASP Anjuguri Manzah, confirmed the incident. He said that the commissioner of police, FCT, had directed that the suspect be transferred to the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation.

He added that Sunday would be charged to court upon the completion of the investigation.

”Five persons were burnt to death in the incident; it was unfortunate. The CP has directed that the suspect should be transferred to the homicide section of CIID. Investigation is still ongoing and the suspect will be charged to court after the investigation. The corpses have been deposited in a mortuary,” he claimed.
